Returns and Refund Policy

1. Overview

At DABDABA, every product is a reflection of our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and authenticity. We stand behind everything we sell. This Returns & Exchange Policy explains your options in the event that a product does not meet your expectations, and sets out the conditions and process for initiating a return, exchange, or refund.
This policy forms part of the DABDABA Terms & Conditions. By placing an order on www.dabdaba.com, you agree to the terms set out in this policy. All references to “DABDABA” in this document shall mean DABDABA LIFESTYLE, with its registered office at Shital Heights, Cross Road, Amroli, Surat, Gujarat – 394107, India.

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. Certain categories of products and purchases are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, as detailed in Section 5 below.

2.  Return & Exchange Window

DABDABA offers a 7-day return and exchange window on eligible full-price products. The 7-day period begins from the date of delivery as confirmed by the courier tracking system.
Requests raised after 7 days of delivery will not be eligible for return, exchange, or refund under any circumstances, unless the product is covered under a specific product warranty or the issue falls under Section 6 (Damaged, Defective & Incorrect Orders).
We recommend inspecting your order on the day of delivery itself. Early inspection ensures you are well within the window to raise a valid request if needed.

All requests are subject to product inspection upon receipt by DABDABA. Final eligibility is determined at DABDABA’s sole discretion after review.

4.  Conditions for Return & Exchange

To be eligible for a return or exchange, the following conditions must be met at the time the product is received back by DABDABA:

    • The return or exchange request must have been raised within 7 days of delivery.
    • The product must be unused and unworn. Items that show signs of use, wear, alteration, or washing will not be accepted.
    • The product must be in its original packaging, including all branded boxes, dust bags, tissue paper, and any other packaging materials it was delivered in.
    • All original tags, labels, and security seals must be intact and attached to the product. Products with removed or tampered tags will not be accepted.
    • The product must be accompanied by the original invoice or proof of purchase.
    • The product must pass DABDABA’s internal quality inspection upon return. DABDABA reserves the right to reject a return if the product does not meet these conditions.

DABDABA does not assume ownership of a returned product until it has been physically received and inspected at our facility. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured courier service when returning products.

5.  Non-Returnable & Non-Exchangeable Items

The following items are strictly non-returnable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable, except in cases of confirmed defect or incorrect delivery:
    • Products purchased during sale events, end-of-season sales, or at any discounted price.
    • Products where credit notes have been issued and utilised.
    • Items that have been used, worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery.
    • Products with removed, cut, or tampered tags or labels.
    • Gift Cards.
    • Any product explicitly marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” on the product page at the time of purchase.
    • Products returned without original packaging or invoice.

In all of the above cases, DABDABA reserves the right to return the product to the customer at the customer’s cost if an ineligible return is received.

6.  Damaged, Defective & Incorrect Orders

If you receive a product that is damaged in transit, defective in quality, or different from what you ordered, the following terms apply:
    • You must report the issue to our Customer Care team at care@dabdaba.com within 48 hours of delivery.
    • Your report must include your Order ID, clear photographs of the product and its packaging, and a written description of the issue.
    • We strongly recommend recording a short video while unboxing your order. This serves as the most effective evidence in dispute resolution.
    • Reports raised after 48 hours of delivery will not be eligible for a claim, irrespective of the nature of the issue.

Upon receipt of a valid and timely report, DABDABA will investigate the claim. If the claim is confirmed, DABDABA will arrange a replacement or issue a full refund at its sole discretion. Shipping costs for confirmed defective or incorrect orders will be borne by DABDABA.

7.  How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

To initiate a return or exchange request, follow these steps:
    • Step 1 — Contact Us: Email care@dabdaba.com or WhatsApp us at +91 9151515096 within 7 days of delivery. Include your Order ID, the product name, reason for return or exchange, and supporting photographs.
    • Step 2 — Approval: Our Customer Care team will review your request and respond within 2 – 3 business days. Do not ship the product back before receiving written approval from DABDABA. Unapproved returns will not be accepted and will be returned to sender.
    • Step 3 — Pack the Product: Once approved, securely pack the product in its original packaging, including all tags, labels, accessories, and the original invoice.
    • Step 4 — Ship the Product: Ship the product to the address provided by our Customer Care team using a tracked courier service. Retain the tracking details until your return is confirmed as received.
    • Step 5 — Inspection & Resolution: Upon receipt, DABDABA will inspect the product within 3 – 5 business days. You will be notified of the outcome, and the replacement or refund will be processed accordingly.

Do not return products to the registered office address without prior written approval and specific return address instructions from our Customer Care team.

8.  Exchange Terms

8.1  What Can Be Exchanged

Approved exchanges are permitted for a different size, colour, or variant of the same product, subject to stock availability. If the requested variant is unavailable at the time of exchange, DABDABA will offer a store credit or refund in lieu.

8.2  One Exchange Per Product

Each product may be exchanged only once. Items received as part of an exchange transaction are not eligible for any further exchange or return.

8.3  Price Difference on Exchange

If the exchanged product has a higher value than the original, the price difference must be paid by the customer before the replacement is dispatched. If the exchanged product has a lower value, the difference will be issued as a store credit to your DABDABA account.

8.4  Shipping Costs for Exchange

The cost of shipping the original product back to DABDABA is the customer’s responsibility, unless the exchange is a result of an error by DABDABA (e.g., wrong item dispatched or a confirmed defect). DABDABA will cover the shipping cost of delivering the replacement product to the customer for approved exchanges.

9.  Refund Terms

9.1  Refund Eligibility

Refunds are issued where a valid return has been approved and the returned product has passed DABDABA’s quality inspection. Refunds are also issued where a confirmed defect or incorrect delivery has been reported within 48 hours and a replacement is unavailable.

9.2  Refund Method

Approved refunds are processed to the original mode of payment used at the time of purchase. Refunds cannot be issued to a different payment method or account.
    • Credit / Debit Card or Net Banking: Refunds will reflect within 7 – 10 business days, subject to your bank’s processing timelines.
    • UPI or Wallet Payments: Refunds will reflect within 3 – 5 business days.
    • Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders: Refunds for COD orders will be processed as a bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) to the customer’s registered bank account. Bank details will be collected by our Customer Care team. Processing may take 7 – 10 business days.
    • Store Credit: Where applicable, store credit will be added to your DABDABA account within 2 business days of approval.

9.3  Partial Refunds

In cases where a product is returned in a condition that does not fully meet the return conditions (e.g., minor packaging damage), DABDABA reserves the right to issue a partial refund at its discretion, reflecting the diminished condition of the product.

9.4  Shipping Charges on Refund

Original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by DABDABA. Return shipping costs borne by the customer are also non-refundable.

10.  Sale Period Returns & Exchanges

During designated sale events, the following additional restrictions apply:
    • All sale purchases are final. Products purchased at a discounted price are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund, except in cases of confirmed defect or incorrect delivery.
    • Any approved replacements or refunds arising from defective or incorrect sale orders will be processed only after the conclusion of the sale period.
    • Orders where credit notes have been applied and utilised are not eligible for any further returns, exchanges, or refunds.

11.  Store Credit

Where a refund is not applicable but a return is approved at DABDABA’s discretion, store credit may be offered as an alternative. Store credit:
    • Is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance.
    • Can be used against any future purchase on www.dabdaba.com.
    • Cannot be transferred, combined with other credits, or redeemed for cash.
    • Will be forfeited if not used within the validity period.
    • Is non-refundable once applied to an order.

12.  Authenticity Disputes

If you believe a product received from DABDABA is not authentic, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at care@dabdaba.com with photographic evidence and a detailed description of your concern. DABDABA will investigate the matter thoroughly. Where an authenticity concern is confirmed following investigation, a full refund or replacement will be issued.
This provision is separate from the standard returns window and is governed by the Authenticity Guarantee under Section 8.4 of the DABDABA Terms & Conditions.
